The joint project BIMcontracts, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, developed a reference architecture and application for automated and transparent contract and invoice management in the construction industry. In a consortium of industry partners and universities, the project was completed after a three-year project phase. Blockchain technology, smart contracts, and automated payments are keywords for this project.
adesso was the consortium leader in the project and, as a system integrator, was responsible for the backend and frontend design of a modern customer data platform. By applying a mix of stakeholder management, classical and agile project management, product ownership, and requirements engineering, the project headed to successful delivery. Besides managerial tasks, attending networking events and performing on-stage presentations were also within the scope of the responsibilities.
